Gorch Fock in Timmendorfer Strand

A nice little cozy hotel, from where you can walk to the Baltic Sea in 3 minutes and the center in 10 minutes. The breakfast at COR-19 times is not quite as rich as at normal times (it is brought to the table, otherwise you can make your own choice) but still a good selection.

We ate there on 3 evenings and loved it every time. Whether fish or meat dishes, everything was very tasty. The service was very nice and friendly.

Two nights everything was wonderful, and could even use the wonderful terrace in the sunshine. Very friendly team, good hygiene concept. Gladly again.

We went here several times for dinner. Staff is very friendly. Good selection on the menu. We had all sorts of dishes. It was always nicely arranged on the plate. Excellent taste. The cook is outstanding. The soups are the dream. You don't have to wait long for the meal. Corona rules are followed. Highly Recommended.

Once again it was a nice stay in this lovely 3 star hotel. Very friendly, dedicated staff?. The highlight is the outdoor terrace?☕??????. Breakfast / restaurant leave nothing to be desired. Location top 3min. to the beach?. I would love to come back? (small suggestion ... soaps and shower gel dispensers, more environmentally friendly and contemporary)

Unfortunately, the service isn't right here either. Reserved a table. When we arrived we were not even greeted by an elderly gentleman. When we spoke to him he led us into the restaurant and pointed with his hand into a back room where our place would be. We sat there for twenty minutes until we were allowed to order something to drink. The younger waiters were friendly and hard-working. The food itself was very good! Had a fish pan and duck.

Very friendly and competent staff. Everything was clean. Corona guidelines were observed. The room was very large and the bathroom even had a window! Breakfast was all sufficiently available and tasted very good. Some parking spaces are available behind the hotel, if none are available there is a 7-minute walk from a large, free parking lot nearby. I felt very comfortable and would love to come back. ?

Were disappointed. Super long waiting time. Then the food was almost cold. Uneven plates. Once 6 slices of meat and the other plate 3 slices.

Hotel very old, badly in need of renovation, room only furniture renewed, no fridge, air conditioning, etc., carpet old, bathroom much too small and old-fashioned, room very badly soundproofed, floor creaky, no elevator, parking lot too full and much too small, location good only 100 m from the beach, rooms facing the street noisy from cars and goods delivery, If I wanted to stay 4 nights it didn't even turn out to be one, in room 218 water damage from the previous guest, carpet was still totally wet when moving into the room, was rented to us anyway, then smelled so musty that one couldn't sleep there and we up Due to the total booking, no replacement room was provided, we had to break off our vacation at 11 p.m. and leave ? not again, were previously at the Hotel Bellevue across the street, great hotel, everything newly renovated, great breakfast,

Great, top location, spontaneously get a room for one night. Delicious breakfast and nice staff. Rooms were clean and more than satisfactory for the price of € 140. I can only recommend it.

1 star for the location 2 stars for the hotel. Arriving by car is not recommended as there are no allocated parking spaces and you are regularly parked by other hotel guests. It can be more than annoying. The cleanliness of the rooms is given so far, food in the restaurant is sufficient and tasty for a short trip. Reception rarely manned, staff very friendly and helpful.

We were on a short vacation about Ascension and in the evening in different restaurants. Here at Gorch Fock not only the service and the food were very good, the corona measures were also taken very seriously. Masks for staff and guests (except at the table), distance between tables, disinfection of table and chairs, single-use menus, everything was observed. The food was super delicious, the staff very friendly and courteous, small special requests were gladly fulfilled. Reason enough for us to return there the next evening. And we'll be happy to come back on our next vacation!

On a short break we arrived here today in the hotel Gorch Fock Timmendorfer beach. Unfortunately the weather was not so nice with us. It was raining heavily. But we expected a cute little room, with relax niche. The bathroom is small but modern and clean. After the first window opened, a seagull "model" greeted us on the roof. Behind the hotel there is the hotel car park. Early in the morning there is the first breakfast buffet. Let's see what awaits us then. We are looking forward to it. We hope that the weather will be better tomorrow, then we would like to explore the area. Not far from the hotel is the Micado Reading Books House. In addition, there are several Buddha figures, which can be purchased. Towards the beach in front of the Micado cottage stands or sits a large Buddha. From this Micado cottage you can continue to the beach and the pier with the Micado tea house. Everything just very nice and definitely worth a visit.

Fantastic nice hotel, with friendly and serviceminded staff plus the restaurant with grill is worth a visit, also the breakfast is top-class, I do recommend this hotel and like to come back. The hotel deserve one more star ? ?
